We've got anonymous beer bars about to have a cow on distributors out here for giving a competitor a Maharajah specifically requested more than a year ago and here Naja's has the Maharajah 07 08 09?

Naja's holds onto their kegs pretty well I guess. Aside from that, I surely would not order an 07 or 08 Maharaja.

actually it'd be interesting to see if the potent alcohol taste subsides after a year or two.

My five favorite, non-Alpine, IPAs (not necessarily in order):

Russian River Pliny the Younger
Russian River Pliny the Elder
Firestone Union Jack
Green Flash West Coast IPA
Ballast Point Sculpin IPA

So what order do you drink them in?

I think I start out with a Union Jack, then bump up the citrus/orange flavor a bit with the Sculpin, then GFWCIPA which is a bit more aggressive and bitter than the first two. I guess that leaves Elder and Younger for last, though it might be appealing to break them up so the flavors don't seem to blend. Maybe you start off with an Apex then throw the Sculpin in between the Plinys to change things up.
