Still Riding the USC Rollercoster

In the first round of NCAA Tournament today USC dominated Boston College in the 2nd half to earn a 72-55 win after trailing by a couple buckets at the half. That would be USC's 6th win in a row overall. I started off with a Green Flash West Coast IPA and transitioned to a much worse Full Sail IPA in the 2nd half. The Full Sail had the classic Full Sail aroma- like band aids and metal. I've now had like 3 or 4 beers from them and each one smells the same. The taste wasn't horrible but it was like a below average, yet drinkable, pale ale. The last time I had a Full Sail beer (the lupulin fresh hop one) I said I was done with Full Sail. Now I guarantee I will not buy their inferior products anymore. The Pac-10 came out pretty clean in the first round, I believe they were 5-1, though I generally never root for any other Pac-10 teams... Stag you know I'm looking at you :)

CBS cut into the last 8 minutes of my USC broadcast to show Arizona shooting FTs, basically.

So right as USC started to build a lead and get exciting, lets watch FTs and TV timeouts wooo!

Yet another reason the NCAA tournament is a test of my patience.

Arizona beating Utah a reason to change away from a game featuring an east coast team which was still relatively close with 8 minutes left??? very strange.

Might have to do an intervention if hear/see of any more Full Sail (aka the little brewery that couldn't) shit from you.

Just slugged an Edmund Fitzgerald porter from Great Lakes. Nice no frills porter. Working on a Bernardus Tripel, which is awesome as usual. Garage session with JTH.

Another garage session with JTH, that's nothing but trouble. Ed Fitz, good stuff, I had one a couple years ago but my bottle was past its stamped expiration date and it just didn't come across anything more than "not bad."

No more Full Shit, i mean Sail stuff from me. Promise.

I finished the first round 25-7.

That sounds pretty good... I bet you picked Cleveland State huh?

I wish. My Western bracket was definitely the worst, Siena over Ohio State hurt, Cleveland State obviously, and Dayton over WVU.

I did get the USC and Arizona upsets though.

LOL! I had USC in this game mostly because BC is such weak sauce. Sure they beat Dook and UNC... but they also lost to Harvard. Harvard!? DeRozen looks like he's ready to make a giant leap forward.

My Big 12 is still playing well in both tourneys. Baylor isn't in the Elite 8 I wanted, but I'll take it!
