Younger and Consecration

Well, I expected the first keg of Pliny the Younger at Hollingshead's Deli to last at least 5 or 6 days (as it usually does over there) but guess what, it blew in less than 2 days. Talk about beer geeks coming out of the woodwork this year. Anyway, Hollingshead's put on a keg of Consecration right after that and wow was that good. Consecration doesn't look like much in the glass, but it is bursting with sourness, wood, and cherry (I don't even think there is any cherry in there but it seems like it).

AARGH!! I wish I could have been there. SOB Steve, you seem to have the timing down perfectly.

Consecration may be my top TION beer now. Need to track some more down. What serving size is that Younger, Steve?

17oz. You can get pours there in 12oz Chimay glasses too. I think the PtY 17oz pours were ~$10

Consecration bottles are going so fast. Hollingshead's sold their few cases in a few hours the first day, and then Tustin Brewing Co sold all theirs in the first day by the time we had gotten down there last night.

I hadn't realized that Consecration was 10%... no wonder it F'd us up.
