Marin White Knuckle DIPA. Yep, another highly ranked beer bites the dust. I do like the vast majority of highly ranked beers I try, but this one was not worthy of stomach space. It joins Three Floyds Dark Lord and Southern Tier Jah-Va as grossly overpriced drain pours. I mean, look at it... does that even looking like a Double IPA???

Some people may get upset, but rankings are just personal opinions. You gotta drink what you like! I've got no problems pouring out a beer I can't drink.
I am pretty sure you got an old one. I bought 4 of them, and even 2-3 weeks affect the hops in this one. When I drank the last one the malt had taken over. Plus the color looks off in your picture. There are few IIPA's that are better when fresh.
Too much malty sweetness even when on draft (@ O'briens) for me. Really wish more of these Imperials/Doubles were finished totally dry.
