School Is Always Getting In The Way Of Beer

Yep it's back to studying, but I'm trying my best not to let it interrupt the occasional beer during the week.

Plus, hops are naturally a mild sedative and also help in the digestion process. Hopefully Pliny comes through and puts me to sleep sooner than later.

Oh Pliny. I'm finally going to get a chance to try it soon. I bought a bunch of beer from South Bay. Blind Pig, this, and a bunch of Lost Abbey are on the way. I really an jealous of you West Coast people =)

I just tried my first Pliny over the last weekend and wow, was it ever good! Nice and hoppy. Was definitely worth the wait to try one. Best of all, it comes in 16oz bottles. I'm going to have to get a bigger glass next time. That big mug of yours looks like it should work well.

Definitely respect Steve's palate, but I really feel like the bottles aren't giving Pliny its due... Seek it out on draft if you get the chance. Bigger malt presence and less zippy citrus/pine out of bottles.

jrhode... I agree somewhat... on draft everything is better (IMO), I've had Pliny on draft more times than I can count on my hands and it's always awesome. I attribute that partially to the high we get when we're out enjoying beers at a pub, but up at the Russian River brewpub it definitely can't be beat... of course that is the freshest you can get it. I have no complaints with the bottles though. I enjoy them a lot. The key is getting the freshest bottles, and thank God RR decides to put a "bottled on" date on there. Thanks for stopping by, looking forward to hearing from you in the future!
